2024 - We finally have our schedule for the year! Yeahhh!

In March, we were at the DeVos Place at the Home and Garden Show and then the Cottage and Lakefront Living Show. And then a couple of weeks ago, we drove out to Novi and the Suburban Place at the Michigan Makers Market. There are a lot of talented people in Michigan. One favorite was Toots Sweets bakery. They made custom printed cookies. 🍪 food and art, what could be better.

MAY 2024 - Next we will be at Tulip 🌷 Time Artisan Market in Holland. This is at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds May4-5. (Did I mention that I LOVE 💕 TULIPS 🌷).

JUNE 22 has a new interesting venue for us. Nine Design in Detroit is having an art show. We watch a lot of HGTV and one of our favorites is Bargain Block, a show based right here in Michigan. Keith and Evan renovate homes in Detroit but they are also artists in their own rights. Some incredible work! Watch it. This is the second year for this show. I believe it’s not very big but we are looking forward to great art and a lot of FUN 🤩. https://www.facebook.com/NINEDesignArtFest

The next weekend in June is the Grand Haven Art Festival, June 28th to June 30th, 2024, 12pm to 5pm on Friday, 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday & Sunday. We love Grand Haven and are thrilled to be invited to this show. Info here: https://grandhavenchamber.org/play/grand-haven-art-fest/

NEW!! We will be at Petoskey art in the Park JULY 20th. I love it there.

SEPTEMBER holds Arts & Apples and Fallasburg Art Festival. Arts & Apples 🍏 🍎 is another new show for us but it is huge. Held in Rochester at the Municipal Park September 6-8. I am excited about this one AND Fallasburg. That’s why we are taking on two LARGE shows back to back and taking July and August off.

Fallasburg Art Festival is my hometown show. Put on by Lowell Arts in the beautiful setting of Fallasburg Park. The Arts Council does a fantastic job. They have music and food and demonstrations and they raffle off a handmade quilt each year along with donated works from the artists. Basically, they have it all. 🎉. I’m thinking of making something special just for the raffle this year.

NOVEMBER and DECEMBER finish off the year with three venues. First is Lowell Arts Gallery. They have 40+ artist’s works in the art gallery on Main Street, Lowell and I will be one. This show runs through November and December. I am usually on the left as you walk in the front door.

November 15 and December 22-23 we return to Holland, Michigan. Kerstmarkt is fashioned after a European Christmas Market where local folks share their goods. It runs every weekend rain 🌧️ or shine ☀️ and it has some really cool stuff. Last year there was a pen maker, wood artists (Addey and her husband make adorable painted snowmen ⛄️), bath products, and more. Chocolates, cordials, and a very dear couple, Lona and Mike. They have a farm and sell grains, beans, and wovens they make themselves. Mike even demonstrates the making socks 🧦! How great is that. We usually only do one weekend because of the travel. But this year we will also be there for opening day!

One more for the season is Walloon Lake Tree Lighting Ceremony. 🎄 This is put on by Walloon Lake Hotel the night before Thanksgiving. We had a special invitation last year and I am so ver glad we went. Only a few vendors but a lovely crowd. They have a bon fire, Santa, steel drums band and more. And of course, the annual tree 🌲 lighting 🎄. Personal note: This time last year was a bit hard (I lost my father) so we opted not to cook Thanksgiving and to have it at Boyne Mountain. It was magical! ✨✨✨I’m looking forward to the same this year. A very loving evening followed by an amazing dinner and lots of rest by a fireplace. Maybe 🤔 it will even snow ❄️ 😁. I think anything around the 45th parallel is magical ✨✨✨ and understand why Michiganders love the North.

Quite an ambitious year. Hope to see you at one of the shows 👍. I really hope so. Now, there is tons of work to do. I have tulips and a moon and gnomes waiting for me in the kiln and some mushrooms to photograph. Have a great day!

“He replied, ‘What is impossible for people is possible with God." Luke 18:27

Note: We are waitlisted for Grand Haven Art Fair in June and Petoskey Art in the Park in July. I am a new artist to these two shows but still have a great feeling about them. But our plan for the Summer is to develop the new ideas 💡. New fish 🐠, cows 🐮, and more wall art and large flowers. If you have something in mind, you can add to the list. 😀
